History
1974
DL Storage Handling Ltd started by Edmund Dobson and Peter Lowe serving the local area through the design, supply and installation of storage handling equipment.
1976
Building an excellent reputation the firm grew, taking on its own installation teams to provide a reliable, accountable service from concept to completion.
1978/79
Brian Cutts joined the company to increase its profile and sales, reaching to all parts of South Yorkshire and the North Midlands.
1979
Steve Ledger, Ian Whittaker and Martin Gillott join DL as part of our installation teams, who remain with us to this day.
Using our expertise of space utilisation allied products were introduced to customers, particularly demountable partitions for factory and office environments.
DL staged a very successful storage and handling exhibition, displayed inside the Ball Room of The Royal Victoria Hotel, Sheffield!
1985
DL achieved BS 5750 status to cement the Quality reputation.
1987
The firm moved from Glossop Road to its, then, "state of the art" offices at John Street.
1992
DL became a Komfort Registered Contractor, offering partition systems supplied by what is now the UK's leading manufacturer of Workspace products.
In our partnership with Komfort Workspace the variety of products offered grows to include office furniture.
1999
Brian Cutts retired after 26 years service with the Company.
Daniel Lowe, Edmund's grandson, becomes the third generation of the family to serve DL.
2003
DL move from John Street to its current Jessops Riverside office, a working showcase of our abilities.
2003/2004
Steve Ledger and Ian Whittaker complete 25 years service with the Company.
2005
DL achieve Investor in People accreditation.
2007
Quite a Year ... ... ... 700mm of Sheffield water flows through our building on 25th June as Peter Lowe retires on June 29th.
He is succeeded by Daniel Lowe, with Alan Smith moving into the Sales role having already completed 4 years with the Company.
